Welcome to the pediatric dental office of Dr. David E. Bittel, Dr. A. Scott Anderson, III, and Dr. Corey J. Sheppard. We realize that you have a choice in who provides your family’s health care. As a pediatric dentistry practice, we appreciate the opportunity to participate in the dental growth and development of your child. We are pleased with the interest you are showing in your child’s dental health by making an appointment for an initial dental examination. Children who begin their preventive dental care at a young age are more likely to have a favorable outlook towards dental care throughout life and less likely to have dental decay. Serving infants, children, and teens in Roanoke, Salem, Vinton, Lexington, Clifton Forge, Covington, Rocky Mount, and Bedford, VA.
Why should your child be treated by a pediatric dentist?
As Pediatric Dentists, following the completion of training to become a family dentist, we have each completed an additional two to three years of advanced education and specialty training in a residency program recognized and approved by the American Dental Association that qualifies each of us to be designated as the specialist for your child in the field of children’s dentistry, not unlike the designation of a pediatrician as the specialist in the field of children’s medicine.
This training prepares us to be able to offer your child comprehensive age-appropriate care as he or she grows from infancy through the many developmental stages of childhood and the adolescent years in preparation for good dental health throughout their adult life.
Nothing is more important than our children. With the advanced comprehensive training and experience we have as pediatric dentists, we are able to do our part to help your children reach their full potential and have the desire and ability to maintain good oral health throughout their lifetime. We would not risk the dental health of our children on anything less.
